- Hard Close-Grained Wood
- Stainless Steel Radial Pin
Many treasures are hidden in Arnot's Stash of Exotic
Wood. One such treasure recently found was a piece
of Goncalo Alves that was purchased years ago and was
stuck behind some other wood. And Cindy says I have
too much wood - huh - see I'm using it!
Goncalo Alves (Astronium Fraxinifolium) originates
from Brazil and northern South America. A strong and
durable wood it was sold in this country under the
name of Bossona (a name given to it by the late Albert
Constantine, Sr.) It is a hard, heavy, close-grained
wood that belongs to the Sumach family. Properly finished
it takes on a very smooth, glass-like appearance.
