This cue was built form Seasoned Bird's Eye Maple and Seasoned Purple Heart. It has 4 veneers; Red, Orange, Yellow and Black.

The Classic Four Point - Five Veneer Custom Pool Cue
We started this cue with a piece of very old seasoned Bird's Eye Maple
that had been in my shop for over 5 years. It is well seasoned
and quite unusual it its wonderful figure. Four Ebony points were added
with Five veneers. From the inside out we start with a white veneer, a light
blue veneer, another white veneer and another light blue veneer.
A black
veneer was added to the outside for contrast.
We added an Ebony wood butt sleeve along with an Ivory Rambo Ring.
An Ivory Joint was added to the joint along with silver rings in
the joint work.
This cue is still under construction so it can be weighted and
balanced to your needs. You can also select the shafts you want
along with the type of ferrule, tip and wrap (leather, lizard or
Irish Linen).
It will take three to four weeks to complete this cue.

Long Splice Rosewood/Maple with 4 Veneers Pool Cue (White-Green-Red-Black)
A Long Splice (Also called Full Splice) Custom Cue with Four Veneers:
From the inside next to the Rosewood Point comes the white veneer,
the Green Veneer, next the Red Veneer and finally the Black Veneer for
contrast
with the Maple wood.
This cue can be completed to your specifications

The Ivory Sash Pool Cue (sold)
This cue was started with one of the nicest pieces of Bird's Eye Maple
(BEM) wood that I have ever seen. Wood of this distinction is almost always
reserved for very expensive cues. In this case I wanted to build a wonderful
cue that emphasized the wood so I kept the inlays to a minimum.
You will notice the BEM wood is loaded with Eyes and that old growth
color. It is coupled with a very unusual piece of Curly Goncalo
Alves wood. I used Green wood veneers as rings in the joint, bordering
the handle wood and the butt sleeve. I chose natural colored linen
based fiber as the joint collars, rings bordering the handle and
the butt cap.
Next I inlayed two Goncalo Alves Windows in the forearm and two
in the butt sleeve. Inside these Goncalo Rectangles I enlayed an
Ivory Sash for contrast and elegance.
This cue comes with your choice of two shafts, ivory ferrules and
choice of tip. I can adjust the weight from 17 to 22 ounces as
the cue has not been completed. It is ready for finish. It will
take approximately 3 weeks to complete this cue.

Maple Full Veneer
Custom Pool Cue
I added an Ivory Joint and Veneer Rings: Red-White-Red-White-Red
to match the veneers in the points and butt. A cored Ebony handle
was added to balance the cue perfectly.
As you have already noticed this cue has the point and veneer material
showing through the but end of the cue. this is how the inside of
a cue really looks. This cue will NOT have a butt cap or ruber bumper
so you must be careful not to slam it down on the floor or the cue
and finish will be damaged.
