Gorgeous Curly Ash – Cocobolo Road Warrior

The Curly Ash – Four Point Cocobolo Custom Cue is the result of many years of “Wood Searching”. I found a piece of Curly Ash in my early days as a cue maker and made a cue that I kept for myself. About 3 years ago I found some Curly Ash that I seasoned until it was ready for a cue. I like the soft “butternut color” of European Curly Ash so I selected a very fine piece of Cocobolo for the 4 Razor Sharp Points to work with the color of the Ash. For contrast I incorporated 4 very thin veneers of White – Black – White – Black providing a sharp and distinctive look.

The characteristics of this seasoned curly ash forearm provide an enhanced transmission of cue ball contact down through this well balanced cue. As a result it comes alive as an extension of your arm and fingertips as you seamlessly “Become One with the Ball”. The cue needed something special so I decided on my Razor Sharp Medium Arc Diamonds in each point. For the butt sleeve I let the wood do most of the talking. It is an exceptionally highly figured piece of Cocobolo wood. I added two Trim Rings consisting of 20 center cut elephant ivory rectangles each highlighting the beauty of the wood. It just had to have a Black leather Wrap J for a smooth and delicate touch. There are over 100 pieces of vintage woods, ivory and other exotic materials in this cue. The points are even and crisp.
