This is truly an exceptional cue. I started with
a piece of Birds Eye Maple that had been seasoning
in
my shop for over 6 years. It is straight grain
with very nice and well defined Bird's Eyes. I joined
it
with the Best piece of Tulipwood I have ever seen.
Today Tulipwood is very rare and it is becoming
more and more difficult to acquire. I purchased
this piece
of Tulipwood in January of 1998 and even at that
time the color was outstanding when compared
to other Tulipwood.
Today it is almost impossible to find Tulipwood
at any price and to find a piece of this quality
is unheard
of. Not only does it have wonderful color it
has straight grain and it knot free. It just does
not
get any better
than this.
You will notice that every Arnot Cue has the ends
of each element of the cue reinforced with Linen
Based
Fiber. This ensures that the wood will not split
unless it is extremely abused. We go the extra
mile to assure
that the alignment of the figure in the wood
pieces matches all the way through the cue from butt
to
joint pin. It takes a lot of time and effort
(and some people
never notice it) but the most discerning of players
always recognizes quality craftsmanship.
