Bocote Four Holly Points
with Purple Heart Recut Points with Four Veneers

This is one of the most unusual cues I have ever
built. Its strongest features are the Recut Points.
Notice
how the veneers are inside the Holly points, yet
outside the Purple Heart Points. Most of the time
you will
only see points on the outside of the points. To
build a cue with these Recut points is more than
twice the
work of building a cue with standard points but
the results are worth the effort.
I started this cue with the selection of an exceptionally
figured piece of seasoned Bocote wood. First
I inlayed Four Points of Holly wood. Next I cut another
precision
slot into the Holly wood to house the Four Veneers
(White-Purple-White-Black) and Exotic Purple
Heart
wood points.
I bordered the wrap with custom rings of Purple
Heart wood which were bordered with white and
black Linen
Based Fiber. The same theme of rings was carried
into the butt sleeve surrounding the Four Ivory
Razor Sharp
Diamonds. Ivory was the choice for the joint
and Ivorene-3 was chosen for the butt cap.
I installed
a solid black
