8-Point
Tulip in Birds Eye Maple Custom Cue
Purchased by C. Townsend
This cue was started in January of 1996, when I happily
acquired a few pieces of exceptional birds eye maple. There
are four short "V" splice
points in the forearm, and four similar points in the butt
sleeve. The points began with seasoned tulip wood and three
veneers were
added to increase its color and definition. The white veneer
contrasts nicely with the tulip wood, and the red veneer
carries the theme throughout the cue, while the black veneer
contrasts
boldly with the birds eye maple.
There are four chains of
ebony and ivory, two placed before and after the wrap,
and two are incorporated into the joint
collars.
This cue contains 216 precisely inlaid pieces of wood and
ivory.
This cue includes the following:
- 2-Laminated Shafts 13 1/8mm
- Weight: 19.25 ounces
- Length: 58 inches
- Ferrule: Aegis II
- Tip: Medium Buffalo
This is a "One of a Kind" cue
signed and dated by Arnot.
