Building the Mister Gibbs Custom Cue has been a lot of fun. It was inspired by a number of cues on my website, so we took from one and took from another one until we came up with this fresh new look. John Gibbs was so much help and a real pleasure to work with.
We started with seasoned wood (as always) that had been in the shop for over 6 years. I selected a wonder piece of Curly Maple for the Forearm and another great piece for the handle wood. I parted off pieces of the handle wood to be used as the rings in the joint, in front of and behind the handle and next to the butt cap. We kept everything in sync and carefully joined all the pieces together. They came out even better than I expected. I hope you like this cue because it is one my favorites.
