Eight Point Veneered Cocobolo Custom Cue
My First Eight Point - Arnot's Baby

This cue was the first Eight Point Cue I ever made and it was also the first cue I made with veneers. It sat in a private Palm Beach collection for many years.  I was finally able to buy her back and she will stay with me to remind me of the early years and challenge it was to bring her to completion.

I started with the first piece of Cocobolo that I ever bought.  I was terrified that I would ruin this beautiful piece of wood.  I said to myself -- don't think about it -- JUST DO IT. I did, and the cue turned out beautifully! Every time I hear someone say to me, "You are doing such beautiful work now;" I think to myself, 'Thank you, but I was doing great work from day one' -- it just took a lot longer to get it done because I was so careful not to make a mistake. Now that I have many more years of experience everything moves along much faster.
